Christopher Ciccone, best known as brother to superstar singer
Madonna, is vying for the empty seat opening up on "American Idol" next
year. He's urging fans to call 19 Entertainment and request him to be
the next judge.
Ciccone has even started a new Facebook group, "Christopher Ciccone
for 'American Idol,'" which lists the numbers to 19 Entertainment in
the U.S. and overseas. "Simon Cowell is leaving 'American Idol', and
who better to replace him than Christopher Ciccone?" reads the
description. I could name a hundred.
But that's not stopping Ciccone from trying, who claims he has 25
years in the music business, although I'm not sure two Madonna video
cameos in the early 80's count. He did however, design the stage for
one Madonna tour and direct another in the early 90's.
"Christopher knows all too well what it takes to be a pop star, and
with his infamous 'Ciccone Tongue,' he won't be afraid to speak his
mind," continues the posting.
Ciccone has been an interior designer for the better part of his
career and recently a tell-all author with his self-penned "My Life
with My Sister Madonna."
Ciccone joins LaToya Jackson as the latest celebrity striving for
Simon's empty judge chair. But they might have better luck getting on a
show like "I'm a Celebrity
Get Me Out of Here" than "Idol."
